Creative and delivery brief
Status: creator brief for discussion. It is not a commission, attachment, or acceptance by Charlie J.
Project
Working title: 50 Ways to Leave Another
Format: five-song EP
Originator / creative director: Dominique Devereaux / Loptr Lab
Prospective lead artist and production coordinator: Charlie J
Phase: pre-production
Intent
Develop five coherent songs from Dominique's private creative archive while preserving her authorship, making every human and AI contribution inspectable, and giving Charlie meaningful room to interpret, lead, and build a delivery team rather than imitate a synthetic demo.
The title is a working project identifier. Any possible conflict with pre-existing titles, lyrics, compositions, or marks must be reviewed before release.
Creative inputs
Dominique may supply, through protected storage:
- concept and narrative notes;
- source lyrics and dated revisions;
- reference audio and listening notes;
- the disclosed Suno concept demo;
- musical foundations where cleared;
- track-specific objectives and non-negotiable story elements.
No private source asset is published in this repository.
Proposed Charlie role
The exact role must be accepted in writing. It may include writing, rewriting, rap performance, vocal performance, interpretation, arrangement, vocal production, recording, and production coordination.
Charlie may identify and coordinate the specialists he believes the work requires, including producers, recording engineers, editors, tuning specialists, mixing engineers, and mastering engineers. This lets him lead a complete delivery process without implying that he personally performs every specialty.
Coordination and decision rights
Charlie may propose the team, division of responsibilities, production workflow, technical handoffs, schedule, dependencies, itemized outside costs, and quality-control process.
Dominique retains approval over the project concept, source material, total budget, material scope changes, release, and final acceptance. No third party begins work or incurs cost on Dominique's behalf until their role, compensation, deliverables, rights, credit, confidentiality, and AI terms are approved in writing.
Charlie remains the primary production contact if coordination is included. Coordination time and responsibility must be compensated and cannot be treated as free administrative labor.
Deliverables
For each accepted track:
- release master to the agreed technical specification;
- clean version, instrumental, a cappella, and performance track where applicable;
- aligned consolidated stems;
- agreed editable sessions;
- final lyric sheet, credits, BPM, key, and explicit-content status;
- contribution records, split sheet, rights envelopes, and AI-use disclosures;
- reference file and approval record.
Use templates/delivery-checklist.md for acceptance.
Working schedule and revisions
The proposed EP target is eight weeks after agreement, deposit, cleared inputs, approved team plan, and schedule confirmation. The working offer includes two consolidated revision rounds per song. Late or materially changed inputs require a written schedule/scope adjustment.
Acceptance standard
A track is accepted only when it:
- meets the agreed creative objective and technical specification;
- contains no undocumented contributor, sample, interpolation, beat, or AI element;
- has approved lyrics, credits, metadata, and versions;
- has reconciled revision notes;
- satisfies the payment and rights conditions in the signed agreement.
Creative authority and disagreement
Dominique retains approval over her project concept and source material. Charlie receives credit for the writing, performance, creative leadership, vocal production, and coordination he actually provides. Every specialist receives accurate credit for their actual work. Coordinating a team does not transfer another contributor's authorship to the coordinator. No one is required to reproduce a generated voice, style, or arrangement. Rejected or unused work follows the written kill-fee, ownership, confidentiality, and deletion/retention terms.
